Kirsten E. Shepherd-Barr
Kirsten E. Shepherd-Barr é especialista em literatura inglesa, vitoriana e moderna, na interacção entre ciência e literatura, e em estudos teatrais, em particular teatro de tema científico. Em 2015, foi nomeada Professora de Estudos Ingleses e Teatrais na Universidade de Oxford.
Tendo completado um B.A. em Inglês na Universidade de Yale, trabalhou dois anos em edição antes de ingressar num programa de Mestrado na Universidade de Oslo, financiada por uma bolsa Fullbright, e posteriormente no doutoramento em Inglês na Universidade de Oxford. Deu aulas na Universidade Estatal da Carolina do Norte, na Universidade da Pennsylvania, no Curtis Institute of Music em Philadelphia e na Universidade de Birmingham, antes de aceitar o cargo em Oxford, em 2007, de bolseira e tutora no St. Catherine’s College.
