We won the Foundations Award in the Art and Science category

It’s official! With great joy and pride, we announce that Marionet has received the annual prize awarded by the Portuguese Foundation Centre in the area of ‘Art and Science’!

 

In the words of the jury, Marionet ‘was honoured for its innovative and interdisciplinary work that connects the performing arts and science’, also standing out ‘for its originality, creativity and impact in multiple dimensions – artistic, educational, cultural and social -, promoting a profound reflection on the boundaries between knowledge and creativity’.

 

The financial support granted by the PFC will help our company to realise new projects and to have a budget break that allows us an extra dose of stability.

 

Together with the success of the recent performance of ‘O Virtuoso’, these have been very happy days, which fill us with motivation to continue towards Marionet’s 25th anniversary!
