2 Cyborgs In An Empty Room - Premier
21-23 July 2011
9:30 pm
Teatro Académico de Gil Vicente | Coimbra
Marionet premieres “2 Cyborgs in an Empty Room” on Thursday 21 July at 9:30pm, as part of the company’s return to the Gil Vicente Academic Theatre in Coimbra. This is the company’s third production in 2011 and Alexandre Lemos’ directorial debut.
The human body updated by its own addiction to technological extensions is the starting point for yet another Marionet production. Everything takes place in an empty space, very empty, or very full of the discomfort that this emptiness provokes in us, accustomed to a daily life overloaded by information. In this space we meet a man and a woman who have surrendered to their condition as cyborgs, which can be seen in the absence of humanity between them in the empty room they inhabit for an indefinite period of time.
