International Conference "Theatre about Science: theory & practice"

Marionet, together with TAGV (Gil Vicente Academic Theatre, in Coimbra), CEIS20 (Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies, University of Coimbra), CNC (Centre for Neurosciences and Cell Biology, University of Coimbra), and LIPA (Laboratory of Research and Artistic Practices, Coimbra), will be holding the International Conference Theatre about Science: theory & practice in Coimbra, from 25 to 27 November this year.

 

This Conference aims to map and reflect upon the intersection between theatre and science as well as to promote the sharing and widening of knowledge in this field, tracking the development of previous trends and identifying new types of intersections.

 

We will foster and welcome contributions focused on the intersections between theatre and science related to both artistic practice and science communication, in an attempt to explore the places where they meet, and to provoke fruitful discussions in order to clarify, eventually, the motivations and perspectives that are common and those that are different.
