International Conference Theatre about Science: theory and practice

The International Conference Theatre about Science: theory and practice took place between 25 and 27 November in the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Coimbra, in the Centro Ciência Viva Rómulo de Carvalho and in the Grémio Operário de Coimbra, featuring the keynote speakers Andrea Brunello (IT), Frédérique Aït-Touati (FR) and Kirsten Shepherd-Barr (UK).

When, How, Why, Where… do theatre and science meet? This was the motto for the three days of lectures and discussion on the intersections between theatre and science, the evolution of previous tendencies, and the identification of new kinds of intersections in the intersections of theatre and science.

Science communication has become ever more essential in academic and research contexts, and theatre has been one of the languages used in that activity.
