Mário Montenegro visited Goethe’s Dark Room
The artistic director of Marionet was the guest on the sixth and final episode of ‘Goethe’s Dark Room’, a podcast produced by the cultural website CoffeePaste, dedicated to the contemporary relevance of Goethe’s thought and the relationships between colour, perception, art, science and sensory experience.
Over the course of around 45 minutes, the discussion explored different ways of fostering a dialogue between artistic and scientific languages, with a view to ensuring that science is present in theatrical productions, going beyond the mere conveyance or representation of concepts on stage. Artistic creation thus proves to play a central role as a space for experimentation and transformation, in which different ways of understanding the world can coexist.
