Right after the last presentation session of the show “Oxymoron, between Solstices and Equinoxes“, on 24 March 2024, at Convento São Francisco, we hosted a conversation informally addressing the various themes that inspired this play and that found artistic expression in it. In addition to the participation open to the public, the panel of guests included our artistic director, a person that lives with bipolar disorder, a scientific researcher, a psychiatrist, and a nurse.

This conversation takes place after the presentation of the show “Oxymoron, between Solstices and Equinoxes” and is open to everyone, whether or not they are attending the session. Just turn up at the CSF box office at 17.30.
The process of creating “Oxymoron, between Solstices and Equinoxes” was greatly enhanced by the input we received from people who suffer from bipolar disorder or who work in its treatment. Their testimonies and accounts of personal experiences were decisive, not only in gaining a better understanding of this complex, stigmatised universe, but also in writing the play.
The post-show talk aimed to create another moment of highly relevant personal and scientific sharing, bearing in mind one of the main objectives of this Marionet show, which is to increase general knowledge about bipolar disorder and other associated issues, through theatre and artistic creation.
