A synthesis and at the same time a rupture with our previous work, temporarily entitled “Things that fall from the Sky” for a month and a half, this performance seems to diverge from the several paths we had been following as a theatre company. It seems to fall from the sky. And indeed it does. From the sky that we have been creating throughout our existence. We began with the sky, we built a shining shelter that we now use as inspiration for our most fanciful imagination. The experiences we have needed to live through so far serve as a basis to keep experimenting.
“Dogod” is a reflection about communication, more specifically about communication in a theatre performance. And being an object of experimentation, it approaches the edges of theatre. Doing so, it leaves us a question: When does theatre stop being theatre?

On stage an actor, the sound, the image. Each one of them builds his universe in an explicit way for the audience. The creation process is exposed. However, these individual creative processes, when occupying the same space, influence each other and build a common artistic object. In “Dogod”, sound and image possess a similar importance to that of the actor. The performance is built from the balance between these three forces. The story being told becomes secondary. The real story is the construction, shared moment by moment with the audience, and questions that remain in our minds at the end.
