pill is the third artistic object in the Marionet Digital project and derives from the show “iMaculada”, in which we developed a reflection on contraception.
98% of the time we use the word “pill” we are referring to the contraceptive pill, a usage that has become widespread due to the importance of this method of contraception in our society.
pill is a game of constructing meanings, in which words gain prominence. They are chewed, digested and returned, as a communication link between people. People who invent, experiment and (re)produce — with the pill, a more controlled reproduction, because this tablet gave them the power to decide about procreation.
Marionet Digital is a space for artistic expression created in formats designed for digital communication. The set of three works produced in 2023, developed for this context, focuses on Health Sciences themes. The third one is about the contraceptive pill and follows on from “iMmaculate”, a show produced by Marionet.
