"Apnea" in a packed house
Last Friday, World Sleep Day, Marionet premiered the documentary APNEIA, a documentary about the obstructive sleep apnea syndrome. The audience of Casa do Cinema de Coimbra was full of people interested in this brief introduction to the world of those who live with the disease and those who treat it.
The film directed by Laetitia Morais was part of the project “Dormir ou não dormir?” (To sleep or not to sleep?) which started in September 2018 and involved working closely with people from different areas and institutions, whom we thank for the stories they shared with us.
Reinforcing this sharing, after the viewing there was also the opportunity to talk with health professionals, scientists, patients and the creators of the documentary, in an exchange of impressions and simple, honest and first-person testimonies, as the documentary also sought to be.
We leave our special thanks to our colleagues from the CNC UC, the Portuguese Sleep Association and the CHUC Sleep Medicine Centre for the commitment with which they have always worked with us. It was a very rewarding night that closed this chapter in the best way!
