Call - Hearing Voices Project
Marionet is hereby inviting all people with experience of hearing voices (or close friends and relatives of those who hear voices) and who are available and willing to give interviews that will serve as the basis for the process of reflection and creation of the Hearing Voices Project – an artistic initiative about the experience of hearing voices others don’t hear.
Our main goal is to learn about the diversity of this phenomenon from those who have experienced and, by creating a theatrical text and sound instalation from the information gathered, to give this diversity a stage, so that, socially, we can approach it out of curiosity instead of fear.
We intend to speak with people who have or have had the experience of hearing voices, over the age of 18 and living in Portugal.
If you identify with this experience and and you are over the age of 18, we would like to interview you. We will start the interviews in June 2021.
The Hearing Voices project is a Marionet initiative together with The Centre for Social Studies (CES), Radio Aurora from the Júlio de Matos Hospital and the Hearing Voices Movement, and is supported by the Directorate General for the Arts (DGArtes).
