There are ‘Countless Voices’ in the next book in the Marionet Collection.

Soon we will be presenting ‘Countless Voices‘, the fourth book in the Marionet Collection. After ‘Oxymoron, between Solstices and Equinoxes‘, ‘Immaculate‘ and ‘Behind Happiness‘ this is one more text that also had a show of the same name written and produced by our company.
This play focuses on the experiences of people who hear voices, as well as on a kind of side effect: the stigma that inevitably accompanies them. With the play ‘Countless Voices’, which we premiered in 2021, we sought to put ourselves in the shoes of those who hear these voices, bringing them to the forefront on stage. Because, as our director Mário Montenegro wrote, listening makes all the difference.
We are therefore delighted to invite you to join us at Livraria Almedina (Coimbra Stadium) on 9 October at 6 pm. The discussion will be moderated by Francisca Moreira (production director at Marionet), who will be joined by Carlos Fiolhais (scientist and organiser of the ‘Conversas Almedina’ series, of which this event forms part), Joana Ferrajão (co-author of the play) and Rita Alcaire (anthropologist).
