Today we celebrate Marionet's 25th anniversary!
It’s a cliché, but it’s true: time flies. Who would have thought that, in the emblematic year 2000, when Marionet was founded in Coimbra, we would be celebrating this beautiful age 25 years later.
Over the course of this quarter of a century, we have premiered more than 50 shows, organised dozens of readings, workshops and talks, produced videos, published books and much more! We could never have achieved this alone, so it’s a good thing that theatre is a truly collective art form. We are therefore very grateful to all the people and institutions that have supported and collaborated with us in this somewhat crazy idea, born 25 years ago, of combining science with the performing arts. And, of course, to our wonderful audience, who are the main reason for everything we do. Congratulations to us all!
If you can come to our Anniversary Party (held on stage, of course), come along later tonight, at 9 pm, to the Convento São Francisco, to watch the show ‘The Virtuoso’.
