Operating rules of the DCPAS
- General Provisions
Marionet’s Documentation Centre on the Performing Arts and Science – Cultural Association, is open to the public for consultation or reading on-site or through loan/requisition, each following the rules established herein. Some exceptional situations may require the establishment of additional regulations.
- Regulation for consultation/reading on-site
The DCPAS is open for consultation of plays and reading on-site.
During its opening hours, consultation must be conducted at Marionet’s space, at Rua Carlos Seixas, 277, Coimbra.
For organizational and good functioning reasons, as well as to avoid conflicts with rehearsals or other activities developed in this space, access to the DCPAS plays requires an appointment, either by e-mail (to marionet@marioneteatro.com) or by phone (931 671 163)
Access to the DCPAS is also subject to the operating rules of Marionet’s space. It is particularly important to maintain a good environment, silence and cleanliness of the space in this regard.
In case these rules are not followed, or when, for other reasons, it is deemed necessary by the persons in charge, Marionet reserves the right to refuse access to the space (and therefore to the DCPAS).
- Regulation for the loan and requisition of plays
Most plays at the DCPAS are available for loan.
The loan of these plays is subject to the requisitioner’s registration in Marionet’s database.
Likewise, the loan of plays from the DCPAS is subject to filling in a request form for each one of the plays to be borrowed.
The loan has a maximum duration of 15 (fifteen) days, which can be extended upon new request.
The request, collection, and delivery of the books of the DCPAS are made in person at the Marionet space. Please confirm your request and collection by e-mail (to marionet@marioneteatro.com) or by telephone (+351 931 671 163).
The loan period is counted from the moment the book is picked up from the space.
Any damage or loss found on the requested works must be immediately registered (with photos) and communicated to Marionet through email or phone.
Any damages reported only at the delivery moment or reported by a later requester will be charged to the requester who has not communicated them in time.
The loss, theft, or damage of any of the DCPAS works, implies the replacement or payment of the original cost of the same.
Requesters who lose, misplace or damage works from the DCPAS can be denied the request or even the consultation of other works from the DCPAS, either permanently or for a period to be determined.
Marionet reserves the right to deny the loan of any works available at the DCPAS, in any justifiable situation.
Any works that are required for the company’s work will not be available for loan.
Should the loan, consultation, or use of works belonging to the DCPAS be necessary for the company’s creative process or other activities, any item of this regulation (namely regarding loan periods) may be disregarded, as long as this is the company’s explicit decision.
