The twelfth session of Read Theatre with Science will take place on 24 May, at 6 p.m., at Choupalinho Park (at the long table next to the Exploratory). The text of the play “Kafka’s Monkey“, translated in the scope of the Collaborative Translation Project, will be read.
The original text, as well as the referred translation, are available for consultation or loan at the Documentation Centre in Performing Arts and Science.
«Trapped in a cage and desperate to escape, Red Peter, formerly a chimpanzee, reveals his climb through the ranks of the animals until he becomes a stage man capable of walking, talking, spitting, smoking and drinking too much. Based on the short story “A Report to the Academy” by Franz Kafka.»
