SYNOPSIS

Inspired by the famous “Philosophy in the Bedroom” (La Philosophie dans le Boudoir, 1795), Marquis de Sade, Alain Prochiantz chose the form of dialogue to explain to us the progress and challenges of embryology and neurobiology. Far from announcing the enslavement of man to the diktats of science, his clear and amusing lessons show how the development of the brain, under the rigid guidance of a few genes, paradoxically leads to the affirmation of an abyssal freedom which abolishes the very notion of Nature.
