The 29th instalment of Reading Theatre with Science takes place on 21 January, at 6:00 pm, at Marionet (Rua Carlos Seixas, 277 – Coimbra).
The text to be read is ‘Insignificance’ (Terry Johnson) which, at first glance, seems like a game of theatrical consequences with the following premise: what if four icons of the Eisenhower era – Marilyn Monroe, Albert Einstein, Joe DiMaggio and Senator McCarthy – met in a New York hotel room in 1953?
Anyone interested in participating in this meeting, either reading or just watching, need only register by sending an email to: ler@marioneteatro.com
As always, the text has been translated into Portuguese as part of the Collaborative Translation Project, and the original version is available for consultation or loan at the Centre for Documentation in Performing Arts and Science.
