The 34th instalment of Reading Theatre with Science takes place on 18 November, at 6:00 pm, at Marionet.

The text we will be reading is ‘Monster’ (Neal Bell), an adaptation of Mary Shelley’s ‘Frankenstein’, which draws parallels between modern science and morality and those of the original characters. The playwright has created a unique and chilling version of this Gothic classic, in which the story of Victor Frankenstein and his creation is transformed into a concise and terrifying tale about morality and immortality.

As always, the text has been translated into Portuguese as part of the Collaborative Translation Project, and the original version is available for consultation or loan at the Centre for Documentation in Performing Arts and Science.
