We presented the show "Morpheus and Apnea"

Yesterday, March 18th, World Sleep Day, saw the one-off screening of “Morpheus and Apnea” at the Convento São Francisco. In this show we see fragments of the life of a small family unit facing moments of great adversity. Set against the backdrop of Obstructive Sleep Apnoea Syndrome, the play reflects on the balance between what we can change through our own decisions and what we can’t control and seems to be due to higher forces.

 

What was presented on stage is the result of the synergy between Marionet and the Centre for Neuroscience and Cell Biology at the University of Coimbra (CNC), and its genesis was within the scope of the Laboratory of Unknowing, a research and creation initiative promoted by these two entities, with the goal of tackling scientific challenges from an interdisciplinary perspective.
