This is how our rentrée is going
September has begun and we’re very busy!
A few days ago rehearsals began for our next show. Part of the team that is creating it met at Marionet and will continue here over the next few weeks to prepare the performances that will be staged at Teatro Académico de Gil Vicente on October 25, 26 and 27, at 21:30. The play marks the centenary of Carl Djerassi’s birth and is entitled “iMmaculate”, inspired by the invention that made this scientist and playwright most famous, the contraceptive pill.
We are currently revising the translation of “The Other Place“, once again carried out by volunteers from the Collaborative Translation Project, in a true work of citizen science. This play has been chosen for the next session of Ler Teatro Com Ciência, which will take place on September 20, at 6pm, at Galeria Santa Clara.
We are also preparing the presentation of our second Digital Artistic Object, as part of the Marionet Digital project, which was launched in March this year. The premiere is scheduled for September 29, at 3pm, simultaneously on our online platforms (Youtube / Instagram / Facebook / TikTok), so stay tuned!
Finally, we’re continuing our preparations to welcome dozens of researchers and those interested in the intersection of Theatre and Science from all over the world. We would like to remind you that registration for the “Theatre About Science” conference is still open until September 15 on the event page.
