Theatre About Science: Keynote Speakers
The International Conference: Theatre About Science, returns for a second edition, on November 9th, 10th and 11th, 2023.
This initiative is organized by Marionet, Gil Vicente Academic Theatre (TAGV), Institute of Interdisciplinary Research of the University of Coimbra (iiiUC), Centre for Neuroscience and Cell Biology (CNC) and the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies (CEIS20), which aims to map internationally projects that connect these two areas, by creating during three days a sharing and knowledge network in the city of Coimbra.
Registration is already open and until the date of the event we will be raising the curtain on what will happen in this second edition, starting with the announcement of the Keynote Speakers, with three names announced for now:
- Catherine Courtet, manager in the Social Sciences and Humanities Department. She started in 2014 with Paul Rodin the «Rencontres Recherche et Création», a project organised by the ANR and the Festival d’Avignon, which she directs since then.
- Emma Weitkamp, professor of Science Communication and Co-Director of the Science Communication Unit at the University of the West of England, is the author of several books.
- Liliane Campos, professor of English and Theatre Studies at the Sorbonne Nouvelle, explores how art transfers scientific discourse in her research.
