At the 32nd session of ‘Reading Theatre with Science’, we’ll be serving ‘Yellowfin’.
The 32nd instalment of Reading Theatre with Science takes place on 22 July, at 6:00 pm, at Biblioteca Carlos Fiolhais – Estação Elevatória de Coimbra (Parque Manuel Braga).
The text we will be reading is ‘Yellowfin‘ (Marek Horn), in which the author imagines a world where, overnight, all the fish disappear. And, incredible as it may seem, the culprit may well be just one man, a seafood trader… It falls to three US senators to question him and try to uncover the truth… This is a play in which politics and the planet’s ecology clash, reflecting on the limits of science, the power of myths and the things we cannot control.
Anyone interested in taking part in this event, whether to read or simply to watch, simply needs to register via the following email: ler@marioneteatro.com
As always, the text has been translated into Portuguese as part of the Collaborative Translation Project, and the original version is available for consultation or loan at the Documentation Centre on the Performing Arts and Science.
