There will be ‘Love, Lies and Taxidermy’ at the 31st RTwS session.
The 31st session of ‘Reading Theatre with Science’ (RTwS) will take place on 20 May at 6 pm at the University of Coimbra Science Museum (Vandelli Room).
The text we will be reading is ‘Love, Lies and Taxidermy‘ by Alan Harris, a story with the classic “boy meets girl” premise. The son of a Polish taxidermist meets the daughter of an ice-cream seller at a medical research centre in Merthyr Tydfil (Wales). But it’s not all plain sailing… Their parents, with their strange hobbies, are going through a rough patch, and there is even the threat of a prison sentence hanging over them. And there’s still room for Mr Tutti Frutti and a stuffed owl…
Anyone interested in taking part in this event, whether to read or simply to watch, simply needs to register via the following email: ler@marioneteatro.com
As always, the text has been translated into Portuguese as part of the Collaborative Translation Project, and the original version is available for consultation or loan at the Documentation Centre on the Performing Arts and Science.
